What this blog is about

This blog--Coming of Age in the Aquarian--has evolved into monthly reports of the new Moon/full Moon cycle for the upcoming month. These reports are usually published at the time of the current new Moon.

The reason why we follow the Moon's phases in mundane astrology, which discusses events and influences of groups and nations, is that the Moon denotes

the common people, women generally, crowds, and all matters of a common or public nature. The position of the Moon in a mundane chart will show where the public's attention falls (Skyscript, Ingresses).

In charts for which we have no birthtime or place of birth, we can only talk in a general way about how planets, lights, and asteroids may affect us.

Something little discussed is how the new Moon, being conjunct the Sun, is overwhelmed by it. While the occurrence of the new Moon is a concentration of energy, it is also a time when the male, fiery essence of the sun prevails. Thus, in nature, the Moon appears dark. The Moon comes into her own at full, when she brightly reflects the light of the Sun and stands opposite it. At this time the consciousness of the common people--or the crowd, if you prefer--becomes aware of the forces at hand. Of course in the interval between new and full Moons the cosmic players have moved and taken up new positions. What may have looked one way at the new Moon may look different at the full. Another way to view this is--the conditions described by the new Moon evolve into the conditions described at the full.

Charts are published with the monthly post and they're in the form of PDF files for you to download. There are two charts each for the new and full moons and two charts that show the relationship between the new or full moon to the U.S.'s natal chart. To see why I use the U.S. chart that has Scorpio rising, take a look at this article at Neptune Cafe.

Every three months calendars with astrological information are published, also for download.

My intent in posting these reports is to make tools for learning astrology available. There is a little interpretation of the charts included and references to interesting articles that relate to the current cycle or aspects of it.
