What the real astrologers have to say...
Taking a look at what other astrologers have to say about this full Moon:
Jeff Jawer at stariq.com in his full Moon report:
The emotional hunger of the Scorpio Moon opposes the Sun in contented Taurus, dramatizing the difference between desire and satisfaction. Strong feelings can arise regarding resources and romance: How much is enough? Should we settle or ask for more? Fortunately, reliable Saturn and potent Pluto, Scorpio's modern ruler, form harmonious trines and sextiles to the Sun and Moon, providing a clear framework for directing passion and revealing hidden assets to satisfy our needs.
Robert Ayres at Astrological Alchemy says about the full Moon:
The Full Moon falls in Scorpio on April 20. The Scorpio/Taurus polarity is emphasized with a Sun/Mercury conjunction in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio. This powerful polarity has a theme of unfolding our inner power of soul and applying it to create wealth and abundance in our lives. There is an inner/outer and spiritual/material tug-of-war going on that encourages us to find a correct balance in our life values. There is a conflict between our desire nature and our material wants and needs.
This month we have that unique occurrence which is described as "once in a blue moon." This saying applies to the situation when the Full Moon falls in the same sign of the zodiac in a one month period of time. This is the first of two sequential Full Moons in Scorpio. The theme of balancing spiritual and material values is powerfully presented to us. It is important to understand why financial and economic difficulties are increasing rapidly. Our society is deeply out of balance on the side of materialism. A correction is taking place.
The Full Moon falls in Scorpio 0 degrees and the keyword is Resourcefulness. This decanate demands that we turn within and dig deep within for the hidden powers of the soul. It wants us to actualize our latent potential in order to effectively deal with the challenges that we face. There is a strong emphasis on personal growth and evolution of consciousness in order to be successful. Your inner resources are emphasized now.
My take..

There are several strong patterns happening with this full Moon:
- Several wedges (two bodies in opposition with a third body trine/sextile each of them) are being formed; you can find them in the full Moon chart. The most notable is Sun-Moon-Pluto(Capricorn); Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio. Evolving Door Astrology gives a nice definition of a wedge pattern.
- A grand trine involving Sun/Mercury-Saturn-Pluto. The Evolving Door explanation is excellent. This grand trine is in the Earth element.
- There are a number of kite formations (two bodies in opposition, with a third body trine one and sextile the other). The most important is a grand trine kite between Sun-Moon-Saturn-Pluto. Please be sure to check out Evolving Door's entry on this topic. It's very good.
- A Yod is formed by Vesta(Aries)-Moon(Scorpio)-Saturn(Virgo).
Dr Loretta Standley at www.drstandley.com has this to say about a Yod:
The "Yod" will give you direct clues to opportunities for certain action, although the opportunities can be unconsciously restricted since you are continually making adjustments in your Life. So the bottom line here is; if you know you have a "yod" in your personal astrology chart, then it is telling you to MAKE UP YOUR MIND . . . MAKE A CHOICE . . . THERE'S AN ARROW POINTING AT THE ANSWER . . . CHOOSE TO DO WHAT THE ARROW IS POINTING TO!!!
The planets involved in the "yod" are usually not compatible with each other, so the energy isn't necessarily the easiest. But again, if you look at where the "yod" is pointing, it's a direct hit. Yod's have an element of destiny in their pattern. This pattern is usually bringing forward something that is needed in order to make further progress. Sometimes progress doesn't feel that great going through it, but once the individual has moved through the energy, there is gratitude for the lesson.
The 'arrow' is pointing at Vesta, Goddess of the Hearth. Here are her esoteric keywords (from Asteroids in the Birth Chart by Emma Belle Donath).
- Chakra: Pineal Center/Higher Psychic
- Colors: Ruby (pure) or lilac and amethyst
- Direction: North
- Element: fire
- Energy: Purification through fire
- Number: 144, Government through will (higher vibration of 12)
- Ray: I, Will to good or VII, Ritual
- Symbol: Five pointed star
»On the full Moon as it relates to the U.S. natal chart
