Here is are two charts for the full Moon on 22 January 2008, 11:36 PM (GMT).

What the real astrologers have to say...
Taking a look at what other astrologers have to say about this full Moon:

Jeff Jawer at stariq.com states in his Full Moon report:

The opposition of the Leo Full Moon to the Aquarius Sun contrasts the need for personal expression with principles of teamwork and cooperation. Positively, this provides a supportive environment for creativity in which individual genius is nurtured by group support. However, the desire to stand out from the crowd could lead to drama and conflict. Fortunately, there's a playful atmosphere that can turn tension into an enjoyable distraction or use it as a springboard for fresh ideas. This Full Moon is a time of celebration when the joys of the heart (Leo) align with community ideals (Aquarius) to share in the joys of life.

Dipali in her Celestial Space Astrology Blog posts about this full Moon:

At this stage of the lunar cycle - a Full Moon, tends to stimulate emotional waves, ripples and even bursting of emotional dams. It is all in the name of emotional awareness and flowing. Flow freely, feel, express, be.

This full moon in the sign of leo at 1 degree. Notice expressions during the week leading up to the full moon, there may be a "dramatic flair" when expressing emotions. Either this type of expression can be interesting and shares a story for a greater understanding and awareness or you have the melodrama where there is attention being sucked into the black hole. Hence the title of this blog post "and the award goes to."

Leo symbolizes child-like fun, innocence, play and expression of our heart. When there are childish behaviors in action, then the emotions manifest as tantrums and a way of becoming the center focus of all things and people. Surely from time to time either you recall doing that (and now laughing about it in hindsight) or you see other people do it now.

Also, the sign of Leo tends to symbolize vanity and pride. Do watch for how vanity or pride run the show instead of you being in the driver's seat. Does your pride get in the way of forgiving and healing the heart? Have you noticed you are a bit compulsive and vain about your appearance. Every strand on your head, your hair has to be styled perfectly and none out of place? What is behind the mask or role? Who are you really?
Leo reminds us to use its energy towards self-actualizing your highest potentials. To shine your light, to listen to your heart's song with confidence, dignity and courage. You are encouraged to find the "leader" in you and use the power wisely and most of all lovingly.

My take..
   On the full Moon

A Yod pattern is formed by the out-of-sign sextile between the Moon in Lee and the Equatorial Ascendant (Eq or EQA) in Taurus; the figure points to the midpoint between Venus and Pluto. This figure may not be valid for any place other than the longitude of Greenwich (0°) or time, because the EQA is the point where the Earth's equator crosses the ecliptic (the apparent path that the Sun traces out in the sky). As the Earth rotates, this point changes.

Finding a good definition of the EQA took some work, an interpretation was even harder. The EQA is considered one of eight personal sensitive points. This information from Michael Munkasey is excellent.

The Equatorial Ascendant represents a part of human mind which lies
between the unconscious (or that which we are not directly conscious of,
our "hidden mental images") and the conscious. There is a part of our
mind where we go to relax, take stock of what is happening, evaluate life
and our attitudes, perhaps even form new attitudes. The prejudices we
were taught, or the prejudices we were born with, reside in the EQA region
of mind. It is here that we go when we are half-asleep or half-awake to
formulate impressions of how we are performing or progressing in life.
The EQA is where we go to evaluate self and life and how self is reacting
to life. The EQA represents idea and image formation, or idea birth. The
EQA is where we go to evaluate self. The EQA is where we go to evaluate
how we "think" others do or do not accept us. Many of the reactions that
go on at the EQA level are only half-conscious. Self-evaluation is an
important concept for the EQA.

Discussing the Yod pattern, Bob Marks at www.BobMarksAstrologer.com says:

A Yod is formed when two planets make a sextile aspect and a third planet is opposite their mid-point. That third planet must make angles of 150 degrees with the other two. If you drew lines on the chart connecting the planets, you would get a Y-shaped formation that seems to point to one part of the horoscope.

That 150 degree angle is called a quincunx, a strange minor aspect that, by itself, is off again, on again, favorable, unfavorable. The two planets making the quincunx seem to be out of joint. Imagine two waves going into and out of phase, first adding and then canceling each other out and you have the picture. Because of this, it is always difficult to say what the effect of a quincunx will be at any particular moment.

The result is steadier in a Yod since the power is focused. The "energy" of the two planets making the sextile seems directed to the house and sign containing that third planet. The effect of a Yod is said to be "fated" or show some special destiny. Oh sure, it sounds really impressive when you tell a client "Hey, you have a special destiny" However, that's nothing more than a "Barnum statement" and really says nothing. All that is really going on is an emphasis on one particular area of the life. Nonetheless, this focus frequently seems driven, compelling.

By contrast, the T-Cross sets out a problem and pushes you to a find a solution in the "empty leg" of the cross. The Yod just pushes you and the solutions are seldom simple. It's not nicknamed "The Finger of God" for nothing.

With this primarily fatalistic figure pointing to a midpoint between Venus and Pluto in Sagittarius, the combination of personally taking stock and creative play is pointed toward using "financial or personal resources to increase power or prestige" (Munkasey, Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets, 1991). The Sagittarian lens focuses on expansion with ideological and/or dogmatic overtones.

On the full Moon as it relates to the U.S. natal chart

The finger of the Yod discussed earlier points to transiting Venus/Pluto in the second house; but, for lack of strong aspects on the other two corners, the pattern is incomplete.

Natal Pluto in Capricorn and the third house is within aspect to the Sun/Moon opposition. This suggests that we may be on our way to getting our act together with respect to environmental issues that affect weather.
