What the real astrologers have to say...
Taking a look at what my favorite astrologers have to say about this full Moon:
Lisa Dale Miller at Astrowisdom.com
This is the best New Moon for setting goals, initiating projects, and making serious commitments for successful achievement. And how fortunate for us that this year the Moon and Sun in Capricorn are joined by blissful and expansive Jupiter in Capricorn! Retrograde Mars (action) in Gemini slows down and internalizes the normally hyper-diverse energy of this placement, and retrograde Saturn in Virgo lends a sense of careful, considered thoughtfulness. Mercury at 0º Aquarius (visionary mind,) Uranus in Pisces (awakening global peacemaking,) Venus in Sagittarius (the heart of generosity) and Pluto at 29º Sagittarius will call our attention to how our own personal goals have a profound impact upon the evolution and quality of life for our species.
So let me remind you that the two weeks after the New Moon, as the Moon waxes to fullness, is the optimal time to build the energy of your intentions. Action is best begun on the Full Moon in Leo. So slowing down and being deliberate is not only appropriate, but is the Capricorn way. For those of you who have trouble with follow-through, this is the New Moon to gain focus and work on building real stamina. Believe me, with concerted focus and effort, you might find you are a whole lot stronger and more responsible than you think!
Jeff Jawer at stariq.com in his New Moon Report:
The New Moon in Capricorn plants seeds of ambition that will grow when fertilized with commitment, patience, good planning and self-discipline. However, a supportive sextile from inventive Uranus to this Sun-Moon conjunction provides unconventional perspectives that reveal original ways to achieve your goals. The independent nature of Uranus also reduces Capricorn's tendency to rigidity and authoritarianism, making it easier for rebellious types to catch this constructive wave and turn it in a productive direction of their own choosing.

My take..
On the full Moon
What attracts my attention is a t-square between Saturn in Virgo-Venus in Sagittarius-Uranus in Pisces with Venus at the middle position and conjunct the asteroid Juno. The same Uranus that is sextile the Sun-Moon conjunct is part of the t-square.
This time of beginning (a new Moon) brings with it concerns and stress about any one or more of the following elements, as indicated by Juno:
- jealousy
- feminine wiles
- social patterns
- organization in the home
- fidelity
- virtue
- fruitfulness
- vindictiveness
- eccentricity
- mating
- shrewishness
- quarelling
Whether you feel or encounter situations expressing these influences is a good test of whether Juno is active in your life. Juno in Sagittarius indicates a desire for mutual freedom in relationships. Travelling together or being on the same page philosophically may bring happiness. In some cases, people with a prominent Juno in Sagittarius may be married to their careers.
On the full Moon as it relates to the U.S. natal chart
This new Moon is placed in the third house, activating communications in all its forms (postal, telephone, email, radio, newspapers, magazines), inland transit, traffic, short trips (commuting), rumors and public opinion. Because it is in opposition the U.S.'s natal Sun, an awareness of long term, personal goals being in opposition to short term necessities may cloud matters.
The t-square with Venus conjunct Juno discussed earlier falls on the cusp of and inside the U.S.'s second house, in opposition natal Uranus in Gemini. Again the nation's wealth is emphasized, this time with a direct reference to the currency and its circulation (Juno in Sagittarius refers to the mint).
Usually I quote Jeffrey Kishner's take on the Moon event, as well, but this is what I found when I checked in at his site -- Lunar Tunes Astrology:
I have been regularly writing about every New and Full Moon for a few years now, and it's been fun. But Saturning is transiting my Ascendant and I need to focus my resources on building my Seduction Central blog, as that's where the action is.
So, I am discontinuing Lunar Tunes Astrology for the foreseeable future. If you miss me, read my other blog, schedule a consultation with me, or send me an email. (See sidebar for links and contact info.)
I'll miss hearing what he has to say.
