Artwork Update
Since I last talked about artwork a painting has been finished, another started, and the final picture in the series(Georgia on my Mind) decided. Here they are.
The painting called "Ancient Easter" has been retitled "Abiding Flowers, Fallen Idol." It was shown during January, 2007, in a local exhibit of works by members of IGCA, International Gallery of Contemporary Art.
The painting called "Hollyhock, Cherokee Woman and Urn" has been started. Posted here now is the half-finished painting. Only the light-and-dark values have been registered. I'm a little dismayed by the eyes--up close they look slightly crossed, at a distance they look intense. Should I fix them or let them be? Working on this painting has been hard; I don't seem to want to do it. Or maybe I just don't want to paint anymore. Time will tell.

On Flickr I found this great photo that promises good possibilities for texture. The photographer, rgbphoto has graciously allowed me to use it. The working title is "Bearded Iris".
