Coming of Age in the Aquarian

Mankind is evolving in mind as well as in body. Indeed the body is a reflection of mind or consciousness.

As we enter the 2000-year span of the Age of Aguarius, we find that the ground rules are subtly different from those of the preceeding age, Pisces. Many changes since the turn of the century in 1900 indicate greater emphasis on a scientific approach to life, choosing a way of life that is more suited to one's personal needs, and redefining roles, such as God-self, man-woman, parent-child, society-individual, and so on.

To me life must be a conscious journey to have meaning. But mind must be balanced with heart.

Recorded here in this manifestation of the Aquarian age, the web-log, are personal observations, stuff found, helpful information, and the occasional point of illumination. It seems to me presenting topics and tidbits related to Aquarius, the sign, will help define what to expect in this brave new age. Also, I hope to find indicators of how the new Age is unfolding in the world around us.

The eyes have it

I've been looking around for a way to generate a little extra income (mostly to meet the demands of my auto insurer). After looking at the freelance sites, yet again, I decided, yet again, what's the point--how do you compete with someone who will contract for $15.00/hour and why?

Then I remembered a positive response to a couple of collages I published on my website (version 3 or 4, maybe). Maybe I can make a name doing collages. Digital, of course.

So, all you art directors out there, my keen eye and free-ranging, associative mind are at your disposal.

Collages are fun. Sometimes a single image catches your eye, then you find others that might work with it. Sometimes a theme gets you started and then takes off. A good collage is a pleasing mix of color, shape, content with a surprise or two thrown in for spice.

So here are my first three entries. "The Eyes Have It" is a new one; the other two come from the website I mentioned earlier.
